Trust Falling with the Leaves: Embracing Autumn’s Change – September 22, 2024 Fall Equinox

As we welcome the first day of fall, I feel called to share a lesson the universe has been whispering to me: “rely on no one but yourself.” I know this may seem bleak and harsh coming from spirit, but I’ve been sitting with this all summer, and now that the leaves are beginning to change, I’m finding comfort in the idea of turning inward and trusting my own strength and inner wisdom, even when it’s not easy.
I’ve often looked to others for validation or support, and while there’s beauty in connecting and sharing, I’ve realized it can be limiting in its own way. Relying too much on others can leave us vulnerable to disappointment and confusion, as everyone has their own life, plans, opinions, and perspectives. When we constantly look outside ourselves, it can cloud our path and make us lose touch with our inner power. At the end of the day, we have to live in alignment with our own truth, not by how others want us to live. Everything I truly need is already within me, and it’s within you, too—you have the strength and wisdom to find your own way.
When faced with pain, it’s not about running to others for help or shutting people out. It’s perfectly okay if you need to seek support or even block out the world for a bit—sometimes, that’s a necessary part of the healing process. But don’t count yourself out in that journey. Just as the leaves let go, we too can let go and do a trust fall into ourselves. It’s about finding comfort within, taking a deep breath and connecting with your inner self and spirit, finding clarity and peace. Like the autumn leaves preparing for a new season, we can find that sense of safety and presence within ourselves, knowing we have the strength to navigate whatever comes our way.
Right now, on my journey, I’m learning that I can’t always rely on others to avoid hurting me, to make time for me, or to care about my feelings. This isn’t easy, especially as someone who has struggled with fears around connection and feeling secure. But to heal, I’m realizing that I need to accept that everyone has their own path, just as I have mine, and that’s okay. As I move through autumn, just as the leaves fall and the trees become bare, I will find beauty in detachment and in the raw, honest vulnerability that comes with being stripped down to my core. It’s a profound step in my healing to look this fear in the face and say, “If everyone falls away, I will survive. I will be okay because I have me, and that is enough.” In this state of openness, there is profound strength and a chance to rediscover who I am without the layers, embracing the authenticity that emerges when all else is shed.
A Message from The Star Tarot Card 🌟
As I wrote this blog post, I pulled a tarot card with the intention of guiding anyone who reads this, and The Star revealed itself. And if you’re reading this, spirit wants you to hear this message. The Star is a card of hope, renewal, and inspiration. It serves as a reminder that even after the darkest moments, there is always light and guidance available to us. Just as stars shine brightest against the night sky, this card encourages you to trust in your journey, knowing that healing, clarity, and inner peace are within reach.
The Star invites you to embrace your authentic self, just as you are. It’s a symbol of letting go of what no longer serves you, allowing your inner light to shine, and finding comfort in the beauty of being vulnerable and open. As you move through this autumn season, may The Star’s energy remind you that you are always guided, supported, and connected to the universe. Trust that you have everything you need to navigate your path, and allow yourself to be inspired by the endless possibilities that await.
During this process, I came across these words on TikTok, and though I don’t know the original source, they resonated deeply with me and brought a strong sense of strength. I felt they were worth sharing:
‘RULES TO DETACH:
• Allow others to be who they are
• Allow yourself to be who you are
• Don’t force situations
• Uncertainty is a reality
• Solutions will emerge when you least expect them
• Obsessing over something doesn’t change it
• Obsessing over someone doesn’t change them
• Take action when possible
• Embrace life
• Let go’
As we move into this season of change, may we all learn to let go, trust the process, and embrace the beauty that comes with each new chapter. 🍁✨ I’m here, sharing this journey with you, and I hope my story brings you a sense of comfort and strength. Remember, you already have everything you need within you.
